The Sternberger PTA is excited to host our 18th Annual Owls on the Run fun-run on

Friday, October 24, 2025. All students and staff will receive their free t-shirt on Friday, October 24 so they can wear it during the event. 

Families are welcome to join us at school to watch their student(s) run! This celebratory event also includes a DJ, photographer, OWL mascot and snacks.

Visitor Parking - TBD

Visitor and Volunteer Check-in - TBD

Visitor Observation Area - After checking in, guests are invited to watch their owls run from the designated observation area. Please be mindful of the assigned run time(s) for your child(ren) and plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before their run time so you don't miss them .

Run times - You can find out exactly what time your student(s) will be running by checking out the OOTR Schedule which will be posted below as we get closer to the event day.

Starting Line - Our owls will begin their run at the starting line and students will have five minutes to run around the track during the time slot designated for their class. Most students pass the observation area several times during the run. Rest assured we will also have photos to share after the big day!

Finish Line - At the end of the five minutes, your owl will complete their final lap by making it back to the starting line. Your owl will join their class near the observation area and move to our rest area. You are welcome to join your owl for pictures and snacks. After your child's class has left the course, we ask that you allow observers for the next class into the observation area. 

MOST IMPORTANTLY - Remember this is a fun-run! Please remind your students that there are no losers here. It doesn't matter how many laps they run or when they cross the finish line. We ALL win because of what we've accomplished together.
