Sternberger Elementary School's Scholastic Book Fair is
Monday, December 1, 2025 - Thursday, December 4, 2025
what:
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Sternberger. This is a great opportunity to connect with your student over the thrill of bringing home new books and helping our school. 100% of the profit from the book fair goes toward purchasing library books for all our students to enjoy!
More information can be found on Sternberger's Scholastic Book Fair homepage.
Take a 360 degree virtual tour and experience gotta-have books, watch video book trailers and more!
why:
More than ever, we need to get students reading! Studies prove* that children with more books at home have higher-level reading skills and attain more years of education overall.
The book fair is also the primary fundraiser to add books to our school media center! All the profits go to purchasing more books for use by students and staff, so every purchase benefits our school directly.

help out:
Classroom Libraries: The book fair is a great time to help add books to classroom libraries!
In Person - Teacher and staff wish lists will be on display at the book fair. Look for the display to donate a book to that classroom or staff member!
Online - Click HERE to see a list of teacher and staff eWallet links. Then click the eWallet link of the teacher or staff member of your choice to donate to their eWallet. If you do not see a specific eWallet link, that staff member may have created a paper wish list only, which will be on display at the Book Fair.
Share the Fair: This program is integrated into every Scholastic Book Fair and allows the school community to help students who need assistance buying books.
In Person - Ask to round up your purchase to the nearest dollar at checkout. The extra cents will go directly to our "Share the Fair" fund. You will also help solve our penny shortage.
Online - When you fund an eWallet, you can add extra funds for "Share the Fair." Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books from the Fair.
Volunteer: Want to help out during the Book Fair? We have lots of volunteer opportunities throughout this four-day event. If you are interested in helping during the Book Fair or want more information, please click the box below to go to our volunteer sign up.
ready to buy books?
Families can shop together during our Family Night on Tuesday, December 2 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Parents and caregivers can make purchases during our Stop & Shop hours. Can't come it in person? Not a problem!
Scholastic Book Fair eWallet:
The easiest way to let your child shop independently is by creating an eWallet. A Scholastic Book Fair eWallet is an easy, safe and convenient digital payment account through Scholastic that allows your child to shop for books at the Book Fair without cash. You can share your eWallet link with family and friends so they can help your student find even more to read.
Create an eWallet, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to Share the Fair - a giving program that supports students at our school who need help buying books. Please consider participating so that no child leaves the Fair empty-handed!
Starting Monday, November 10, 2025 through Thursday, December 4, 2025, families can create new eWallets or transfer the balance from a previous fair. Click here to learn more, create a new eWallet, and transfer unused funds from a previous fair.
Student Wish Lists:
Students will visit the book fair at a scheduled time with their class and make a wish list of the items they are interested in. This list will be sent home in your student's daily folder. If you would like to purchase any of the items, check them on the sheet. Send the wish list along with a form of payment or note that you have set up a Scholastic Book Fair eWallet for your student back to school with your student the next day.
Please be aware that because of book availability, students may need to substitute another title for an item on their wish list. If you do not want them to make substitutions, please check the appropriate box on their wish list.
Online Book Fair:
You can shop online for an expanded selection of exclusives, new releases, value packs, and more from December 1, 2025 through December 14, 2025. 25% of every online purchase directly benefits our school! All online orders ship direct to your home. Free standard shipping is available on book-only orders of $35 or more, after all discounts are applied. eWallet funds can be used to shop the online book fair. Sign in with the same email and password you used when you created your eWallet.
Note: The Sternberger Book Fair is a collaboration between the school and the PTA. School leadership and staff plan, coordinate and execute everything it takes to have books on site and available for purchase during the Book Fair. The PTA initially funds the Book Fair by covering the cost of product. After the Book Fair is over, the PTA is reimbursed for the initial funding. The school keeps 100% of the profit which is used to buy books for the library. The PTA also coordinates volunteers to help during the Book Fair and organize refreshments for staff during Teacher Preview.
