Student Wish Lists:
Students will visit the book fair at a scheduled time with their class and make a wish list of the items they are interested in. This list will be sent home in your student's daily folder. If you would like to purchase any of the items, check them on the sheet. Send the wish list along with a form of payment or note that you have set up a Scholastic Book Fair eWallet for your student back to school with your student the next day.
Please be aware that because of book availability, students may need to substitute another title for an item on their wish list. If you do not want them to make substitutions, please check the appropriate box on their wish list.
Book Fair eWallet:
A Book Fair eWallet is a safe and convenient digital payment account through Scholastic that allows your child to shop for books at the Book Fair without cash. You can share your eWallet link with family and friends so they can help your student find even more to read.
You can transfer unspent funds from a previous fair. To transfer unused funds to this fair, log into your Scholastic account and create a new eWallet. Then your previous balance will be available to transfer as an eGift Card.
Starting Monday, November 11, 2024 through Thursday, December 5, 2024, families can create new eWallets or transfer the balance from a previous fair. Click here to learn more, create a new eWallet, and transfer unused funds from a previous fair.
Online Book Fair:

Ways to help out!
Classroom Libraries:
The book fair is a great time to help add books to classroom libraries! Teacher wish lists will be on display at the book fair. Gift certificates can be purchased for classrooms, and some teachers may choose to create Teacher eWallets for their classroom libraries. There is a space on your student's wish list for you to contribute if you are interested in helping fund their classroom library that way..
A list of Teacher eWallet links can be found HERE.
Share the Fair:
When you fund an eWallet, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to a giving initiative called "Share the Fair." Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books from the Fair.
Volunteer:
Want to help out during the Book Fair? We have lots of volunteer opportunities throughout this four-day event. If you are interested in helping during the Book Fair or want more information, please click the box below to go to our volunteer sign up.
Help with Snacks:
Teachers can come after school on Monday, November 25, 2024 to our Teacher Preview to view the book fair and make their classroom wish lists. Our Teacher Appreciation Committee and our Book Fair Committee set up refreshments for the teachers to enjoy during this event.
We are asking our extraordinary World Changer families to help by donating snacks and drinks. If you are interested in donating refreshments or want more information, please click the box below to go to our refreshment donation sign up.
In the effort of transparency: The Sternberger Book Fair is a collaboration between the school and the PTA. School leadership and staff plan, coordinate and execute everything it takes to have books on site and available for purchase during the Book Fair. The PTA initially funds the Book Fair by covering the cost of product. After the Book Fair is over, the PTA is reimbursed for the initial funding. The school keeps 100% of the profit which is used to buy books for the library. The PTA also coordinates volunteers to help during the Book Fair and organize refreshments for staff during Teacher Preview.
